I had a wonderful time over the weekend with Alina, Nick and Alina's mom. We walked, hiked, saw beautiful views, had tea in a graveyard, ate awesome curry (that's how they refer to Indian food in UK), and laughed a lot!
Alina and Nick live in this adorable town outside of London and I feel like the town could be the back drop to a British story book or romance novel. It has rolling hills, a vineyard, horses, cows, amazing walking paths, sheep, and parrots. Yes, parrots as in "Polly want a cracker". This part doesn't quite fit into the story book part and it caught me quite off guard to find that it is normal for parrots to come feed on the bird feeders in their yard. Parrots in England. Who would have thunk it. Obviously they are not native to England and there are a couple myths as to why they are here. Google it and do some research - it's quite interesting.
It was great to see Alina and also step away from the busy, crowded, city. You can hear the sheep from their backyard (garden as they refer to it in England) and when you get closer they are so adorable. Smelly, but adorable. Here are some pics from the weekend. I have so many more, but will post when I return home and can use photoshop to correct and enhance the photos.
Love the last sheep photo! I must download mine. Look forward to seeing you tomorrow!!
