I have learned a few things over the past couple of days.
a) Even though it’s July, you still need a jacket in London. I don’t think it has gone above 70 degrees.
b) Cabs are very expensive in London and surrounding area.
c) I need to take Dramamine before getting into a cab. Oh. My. God. these cabbies do not know how to drive here.
For reasons B & C, I’ve changed hotels from the Heathrow airport to Central London. This means I’m right in the center of the hustle and bustle and also a long tube ride commute to the office. But at least I won't be green when I show up for work. The hotel is across the street from Green Park and it feels similar to New York City. I’ve never seen so many men dressed in stylish suits. Hot men in nice suits on every corner. With accents? Oh my.
Here are a couple pictures from this evening. One is of the hotel I’m staying at and the other is of the park across the street, that is in front of Buckingham Palace.
I’m so happy it's finally the weekend!
Good for you. Mayfair always makes me remember for movies like "Wall street". it is interesting to see if nothing else. I wonder why are you not updating your blog now?
