I go through phases where I either read or watch a lot of movies. When I start a book, I have a hard time putting it down. I become very anti-social and fixated on the story. When I went back to school 5 years ago, I didn't pick up a novel in 2 years because I knew the book would take a higher priority than the 10 page paper I needed to write. Since I've been working at home, I've been hesitant to read for the same reason. I work really well from home, but starting a novel could provide too much temptation. So, this week I read one on Saturday and then another one last night. I figured I wouldn't let a book distract me, I'd just finish them in one sitting.
I read: Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner and Love the One You're With by Emily Griffin. These books fall into my category of "entertainment reading". I read them quickly, often in a night, and they allow me to escape everyday life. They are books that in a months time, I will have forgotten the main characters. They serve a purpose - and I really enjoy a night on my sofa with my cat and a book. Oh my. Did I just sound like a single cat lady?
I have cut down on my netflix rentals lately, due to disinterest and lack of time. Tonight I watched a movie for the first time in awhile - Juno. I really didn't have too much interest in seeing the movie, but was curious about the rave over it. I don't know if I'll rave over it, but it was entertaining and cute. It had some witty dialog that made me laugh out loud and some great music references.
In other grand things of entertainment - the flowers are still blooming here. I swear Spring was not this pretty last year. Everyday when I drive down my street, it is a new experience for me. When you live in South Florida, Spring was celebrated by the departure of the snow birds. In Atlanta, it's all about the flowers and the blooms.

I love fluffy, no brainer books. LOVE THEM. I'm going through a phase right now where I can't get enough of them. Seriously, a night on the couch with a book and a cat sound fabulous.
I was so impressed with Atlanta's gorgeous spring blooms. Your lucky to have such great floral eye candy. It's a small gift for putting up with the hot, humid summers!
Great photo!
