I’d like to take a moment and confess a simple pleasure in my life. Now just to give an idea of where I'm coming from…I am someone that once purchased a mens body wash because I loved the scent so much and wanted it near me.
I’m not a big fan of the mall even though I really enjoying shopping. I don’t often frequent malls unless I’m out for a specific purchase. However, that all changed one day as I was in the Perimeter Mall looking for a dress for the upcoming 2006 Christmas party, I'm sorry - Holiday party.
Frustrated with the lack of options I had for dresses due to my procrastination, I headed into store after store looking for the perfect little black dress. As I turned the corner heading towards Dillard’s, it hit me. And I felt weak in the knees.
Good lord, I thought., where is the man that is attached to that hot scent? I quickly scanned the immediate area looking for the source. However, I found it was no man, It was Abercrombie and Fitch.
The scent of that cologne coming out of that store makes my toes curl. I will walk by that store, shut my eyes, indulge in the scent, and the occasional moan has been know to sneak out of me.
The scent is a sensual experience in the rawest form: Long lingering of the eyes across the room. Candlelit dinners with wine slowly poured. Sexual flirting. A hand on the small of the back. A kiss that involves the back of the head grabbed. Feet touching under the table. Making out in a repair room of a store….
Hmmm.....ok, back to reality.
Now notice I said walk by the store. I have never been in an Abercrombie and Fitch store. I was tempted to follow the scent upon my discovery, but quickly decided not to cross over on the hardwood floors. The reason, you may wonder. First of all, I think the scent may be too overpowering if I go into the store. Secondly, I don’t want to risk a teenager or twenty-something sales clerk ruin my fantasy with the Abercrombie aura. Most of the time when I visit the mall, I forget about the store. There are occasions I will seek it out to brighten my mood. The most pleasurable experiences are when I forget, and I am instantly greeted with the scent that fills me with hope and leaves me a bit giddy….
That’s my Abercrombie experience.
